EXPERIENCE
Paul J. Jones joined the firm as an
associate attorney in October of 2003. His experience includes
four years in private practice, focusing on employment and commercial
litigation, and five years as an Assistant Municipal Attorney
in Anchorage. While an Assistant Municipal Attorney, Mr. Jones
provided legal counsel to all departments of the Municipality,
including its electric, water and refuse utilities. He
also represented the Municipality in various types of litigation,
including representation of Municipal Light & Power before
the Alaska Supreme Court in an important regulatory matter. His
practice at Kemppel Huffman and Ellis will focus on regulatory,
employment, and labor issues.
Mr. Jones is admitted to practice before
all state and federal courts in Alaska.
EDUCATION
Mr. Jones graduated from Brown University
with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1985. He received
his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Oregon in 1994. Mr.
Jones was valedictorian of his law school class and served as
managing editor of the Oregon Law Review. He was admitted
to the bar in Alaska in 1994.
